Here it is, the day that I purred would never come. I always thought that it would be me who would be your Guardian
AngelCat, dear Mac, not the other way around.
And so I must say farewell for a while, my love. Be happy, and be assured that until we meet again there will never be a day I don't think of you, never a night I won't dream of you, never a moment I won't feel you with me.
Thank you my love for everything you did and said, and everything that was unspoken but understood. I will see you at the Bridge, Mac. You will always be the Only Cat for me... I loved you then, I love you now, I will love you past the end of time. It was always 'Mac and Minnie', and so it will remain. It's not "goodbye", though, just "au

Mac, I never held you in my arms
Or felt your fur against my face.
And yet I loved you and knew you …
Your humor, your love and your grace.
The way you made your human smile
And the way you put her heart at ease.
The way you acted silly
And liked to play and tease.

In a special way it's true.
I came to sense the uniqueness
The loving cat that was you.
You made a lot of friends online
Someday you will meet again
But there will be an empty place
In all of their hearts till then.

The Rainbow Bridge story
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.
The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together

It's hard to lose a beloved friend,
One you lived and laughed with for a long time,
